Bringing home the missing soldiers of Sultan Yacoub

When everyone says there is no way, how do you find one?

For eight years I led the research to locate the soldiers missing since the 1982 Battle of Sultan Yacoub. In this keynote I open the file and turn it into practical tools for managers and teams.

What people who were there say

“A fascinating talk that reveals findings unknown to the public about the long investigation. Modi translates it into management tools that are just as relevant to the civilian business world.”

All questions

What is OSINT, and what is business intelligence?

OSINT (open-source intelligence) is intelligence built from information that is publicly and legally available: media, social networks, websites, public records, academic and legal databases. Business intelligence is what you get when that information is collected, verified and analyzed to answer a specific business question.

Is open-source research legal?

Yes. I work only with legally available information, in line with the law and the ethical standards of civilian competitive intelligence, in Israel and in every country the research touches. I never use stolen data, never break into websites, and by choice do not mine the dark web.

What kind of questions can you answer?

Questions about companies, competitors and markets; hidden ties and conflicts of interest; people and heirs who need to be located; assets; and whether a piece of information is true. If the information is out there, I will find it.

Is my identity kept confidential?

Yes. Client names are strictly confidential, and invoices carry a reference number only, never the subject of the research. Once paid in full, the research is yours and is never shared with a third party.

Do you work outside Israel?

Yes. Many projects involve companies and people abroad. When needed, and only with your approval, I add local investigators and professional translation.

How do we get started?

Send me your question on WhatsApp, by phone or by email. We define the research question together, agree on scope and timing, and I get to work.

Have a question that needs an answer?

Send it to me, and I’ll get back to you to define the research question together. Your inquiry stays confidential.
