A shareholder who vanished 20 years ago. Heirs of landowners scattered across several countries. When contact is lost, open information can still tell you where they are.
When you need to locate a person or heirs
- Land and real estate: a construction company that wants to buy land and is looking for the owners or their heirs.
- Shares: a shareholder who disappeared and is holding up the company.
- Debts and fraud: creditors looking for someone who vanished, or victims looking for a fraudster.
- Inheritances: heirs who don’t know they are entitled to an asset.
How the work is done
I start from what is known: a name, a date, an old address, a company. From there the search widens in layers: public records, legal databases, the media, social networks and family-history sources.
When the trail leads abroad, and with the client’s approval, I can bring in a private investigator in the relevant country and professional translation of documents. A finding that looks promising is always checked against another source before any conclusion is drawn.
Example: the shareholder who disappeared
Example: heirs of landowners
A construction company asked me to locate a person or their heirs, anywhere in the world, in order to approach them about buying land they owned. In research like this, connecting old records with current information is the heart of the work.
Boundaries
Locating a person is done from open sources and within the law, in Israel and in every relevant country. The purpose of the research is defined in advance, and the information is used for that purpose only.
This article describes a research method and is not legal advice.
